Roof Repair in East Los Angeles, CA

Sampling the official CAL FIRE maps finds almost no East Los Angeles land in a fire hazard zone (about 0.5%, High and Moderate). Only the High zone share, about 0.1% of the area, puts a replaced roof under the Class A rule; the other 99.9% of East Los Angeles, the Moderate land included, falls under the Class C minimum of state law when more than half of a roof is replaced within a year (Health and Safety Code 13132.7). East Los Angeles lies in energy code Climate Zone 9, where replacing more than half of a pitched roof calls for a rated cool-roof product unless an exception applies.
