Roofing Contractor in Lake Hughes, CA

Lake Hughes is unincorporated, so the Los Angeles County Department of Public Works, Building and Safety, issues the reroof permit, not a city department.

Sampling the official CAL FIRE maps puts about 51% of Lake Hughes in a Very High Fire Hazard Severity Zone, all of it on the State Responsibility Area map. There a replaced roof, half of a roof or more within 12 months, and any repair covering must be Class A under the Wildland-Urban Interface Code. Metal on a noncombustible deck is one Class A choice: metal roofing. Outside the State Responsibility Area land (about 51% of Lake Hughes) and the High and Very High local zones, state law still requires at least a Class C fire-rated covering when more than half of a roof is replaced within a year (Health and Safety Code 13132.7).
